Not My Dog es una banda sudafricana la cual, al menos en sus 2 primeros EPs (‘Disco Very’ y ‘Jack Brown’, ambos del ’99) y sus 2 primeros álbumes (‘Dogumentary’ del 2000 y ‘Braai Vibes’ del 2002), hacían Nü Metal Oldschool muy marcado por el Funk Metal y con su necesaria dosis de Rap/Hip Hop. Más adelante, en sus discos ‘False Dog’ (2005) y ‘Not My Dog’ (2011), cambiarían su sonido de manera progresiva hacia el Nü Metal/Metal Alternativo, dejando poco y nada de Funk y Hip Hop.
