«Rage of South es una banda formada por 4 elementos (Tano – Leo – Salas – Smok), nacida en 2006, desde el extremo sur de Italia … Sicilia! Su sonido proviene de una mezcla vertiginosa de potencia y melodía, una unión entre el desastre devastador y el silencio después de la tempestad.»
Entre sus influencias la banda menciona a Machine Head como la principal entre varias más, pero al ir escuchando a fondo el álbum uno se puede dar cuenta de que el sonido de ROS va más allá que sólo Machine Head, el disco es muy variado, con sonido impregnado por bandas como Slipknot, Korn y hasta Tool.
«I See, I Say, I Hear» es un tremendo álbum debut que no se debe dejar pasar por alto, ésta banda en un futuro no muy lejano estará dando mucho de que hablar.

Primer disco de esta banda britanica. Si bien principalmente su sonido es una mezcla bastante bien lograda del Alt. Metal/Nu Metal, también ocupan mucho los sonidos industriales, góticos y electrónicos. El vocal se hace llamar a si mismo Dark Priest (sacerdote oscuro) y visualmente se notan claramente las influencias góticas e industriales. El disco me gusta, lo encuentro un álbum solido, con una atmosfera que te engancha de entrada. «Mind Battle», «Disease», «Golden Chains», «No Faith» y «My Dear Satan» me parecen los mejores temas. Personalmente lo recomiendo.

Segundo disco de estudio de la banda italiana Devotion, cuyo trabajo nos brinda un Metal Alternativo/Experimental, con un sonido que se asemeja en algunos puntos al de Deftones. Un disco con una refinada producción, con canciones muy bien estructuradas que pueden llegar a enganchar bastante. Recomendado.

Foretype is a metal band formed by: Andrea Dimitri – Vocals, Lyrics; Francesco Fiori – Guitars, Back Vocals; Valerio Pappalardo – Bass; Milo Silvestro – Drums, Programming / Guitar and Bass (studio).
The story of the band starts in Ostia, the seaside of Rome, in 2008. Since their meeting in 2006, Andrea Dimitri (vocalist, drummer) and Milo Silvestro (drummer, percussionist) have been sharing several music projects, such as «Alias», a hip-hop/electronic duo in which both guys were creating beats and mixing a lot of different music genres. In particular, Milo was programmer and turntablist (studio and live) and Andrea was the singer. But the two realized very soon that they needed something else to express their feelings and their artistic vein. Something heavy, angry, groovy and deep in which they could give their best. This led to the creation of «Embryo» (the first name used by Foretype). In 2013 the name was changed for the current one, due to the existence of an old German band which beared the same name.
Andrea Dimitri and Milo Silvestro are the creative members of the band. Their first album is called Selfish Gene, as a tribute and conceptual reference to biologist Richard Dawkins’ homonymous book. After some attempts to complete the formation with other members, Foretype finally became stable in 2012 when they met guitar player Francesco Fiori. In early 2013, bassist Valerio Pappalardo joined the band. Bass lines and guitars are recorded by Milo.
Foretype’s lyrics are meant to be an exploration of strong feelings, whether they are painful or relieving, concerned or cynical. In fact, as the name of the band clearly suggests, the scope is to experiment. The songs deal with anger, sadness and sickness, but also with positive feelings and intentions. The language is mostly aimed at specific targets, in a very direct way. However, it sometimes becomes more introspective, deep and meditative. Both abstract, eerie contexts and everyday practical situations are present in the concepts of the songs.
Foretype are against all forms of religion, especially organized religion. The band strongly believes that people should be free from religions, as well as from superstition, ignorance and all forms of brainwashing.
SOUND AND INFLUENCES: Foretype like considering themselves as Nu-Metal, since this is their most fundamental influence. Evidence of it can be found in their use of rap vocalism, groovy syncopated and polyrythmic drumming and powerful, super downtuned guitar riffs which often consist of minimal phrases. The electronic music background of drummer Milo Silvestro brought Foretype’s sound to include industrial and acid techno elements, wide textures of synthesisers, samples and electronic loops. The use of dark atmospheres gives the band a Horror Metal taste. Also, there is a clear Mosh-Core influence in Foretype’s style, namely the occasional use of fast double-kick, mosh parts and oddments of blastbeats. Vocals alternate between a multiform screaming and growling, rapping, laments, sick whisperings, spoken word and clean singing.

Buscando mas versiones del genial tema de Filter «Hey Man, Nice Shot» en youtube me encontre con un cover de la misma y me atrevo a decir que es un «Nice Shot» aunque en este caso yo diria «hey woman, nice shot», ya que su vocalista es mujer y por su excelente interpretacion del tema. Una banda y un disco bastante interesantes para aquellos a los que les gusta Stabbing Westward, Tapping The Vein y los Filter de los tiempos del «Short Bus».

Mankind Has Fallen nació en 2010 de la mano de Michele (primera guitarra), Fabio (bajo), Giorgio (batería) y Piero (guitarra rítmica . Su Crossover esta influenciado por sus diferentes gustos musicales: desde Nü Metal a Metalcore/ Melodic Hardcore. Buscaron un cantante por un tiempo hasta que a los primeros meses del siguiente año Alberto se transformo en el vocal oficial de la banda y Filippo entro como guitarrista de sesiones, tomando el puesto de Michele quien dejo por un corto periodo de tiempo por problemas personales Participaron en diferentes concursos, ganando en ocasiones el primer puesto y, a mediados de 2011, al comienzo de su actividad en vivo, “Killin’ Myself” (live version) fue incluida en “Kill City Compilation”, lanzada por 272 Records (Los Ángeles . Por lo que empezaron a tocar en los alrededores de Sardinia. En Abril de 2012 Michele “Zak” Zaccheddu se reincorporo en Mankind Has Fallen como guitarrista de sesiones remplazando a Filippo. En Septiembre de 2012 se lanzo su primer EP “Satyriasis” vía Myself Records, en colaboración con la weblabel April Rain Promotion. Grabado en Little Three Studios por Flavio Laconi, con el trabajo de mezclado y masterizado en el Artist Recording Studio por Rolando Ital, esta disponible en todas las mejores tiendas digitales. En Noviembre firmaron contrato con la agencia francesa Energy Zombie Management.
