Live Nu Metal

Segundo álbum de estos canadienses. En el se puede apreciar la mejora en la producción; solo hay que escuchar el tema Pacafist que aparece en ambos trabajos para notar la diferencia. Personalmente me encanta el ambiente angustioso y depresivo en algunos temas, tanto musical como vocalmente, como por ejemplo en Iodine y algunos mas.

Con su primer EP esta banda de Toronto ganó mucha notoriedad tanto a nivel local como nacional y les valió para grabar mas adelante el LP, «Mechanism», ya con la colaboración de Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down, Deftones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers…).

Leisureworld comenzó en Toronto, donde Cade Lakeshore y Patrick Worthington descubrieron su interés mutuo en el Rock & Roll mientras trabajaban en el tercer turno en una imprenta. Los dos formaron una banda llamada Lyposucker. Después de la incorporación del contundente baterista Brent Empress, el trío se convirtió en Trailer Park y comenzó a tocar en Toronto, pero pronto tuvo que cambiar su nombre debido a que era propiedad de una banda estadounidense. Lakeshore, Worthington y Empress se convirtieron en Leisureworld, se conectaron con un equipo de administración con sede en Buffalo, Nueva York, y continuaron tocando en Toronto y sus alrededores, mientras que al mismo tiempo establecían pistas en el estudio de un amigo. Finalmente, el trío firmó con el indie 41, que compró con éxito el sencillo «I’m Dead» a medios de rock activos en mercados de radio menores como Buffalo, Kenosha, Wisconsin y Detroit. Esta maniobra generó un gran revuelo, y las principales discográficas empezaron a seguirles el rastro. Alrededor de este punto, el trío se dio cuenta de que necesitaba un guitarrista adicional y tuvieron suerte cuando se encontraron con Patricia Melia en una tienda de pescado tropical. Melia pronto se unió, y el Leisureworld recién reconfigurado viró hacia Los Ángeles. A finales de 2002, Leisureworld firmó un acuerdo con ARTISTdirect, la marca distribuida por BMG. En abril de 2003, el sello publicó el LP debut de Leisureworld, Double Wide Double High con 11 pistas originalmente. Recientemente en 2021 se le han añadido 8 temas «nuevos» que poco o nada tienen que ver con el halo original del LP, mostrando un rock más puro y alejado del sonido industrial.
