Lamb of God es una banda de Richmond, Virginia, Estados Unidos con influencias de grupos como Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura. Comenzó en 1990 conocida como «Burn the Priest» y lanzaron el 13 de abril de 1999 el primer álbum auto titulado «Burn the Priest» con Legion Records. En ese mismo año cambian su nombre a Lamb of God, ésta a la vez maneja estilos en perfecta armonía géneros tales como: el Death Metal y Thrash Metal.
En el 2003 debutaron con «New American Gospel» con un sonido más Groove metal que Metalcore. Después de su debut vinieron otros trabajos con el ya conocido sello Lamb of God «As the Palaces Burn» en 2003; «Ashes of the Wake» en 2004 y «Sacrament» en 2006.
