The Blood Splat Rating System es el primer disco de estudio de la banda Powerman 5000, lanzado el año 1995 bajo el sello independiente Conscience Records. Este disco tuvo una gran ovación a nivel underground en su localidad, Boston U.S.A. recibiendo los siguientes reconocimientos: «Mejor Álbum de Rap», «Mejor Álbum de Metal» y «Álbum del Año». A raíz de lo anterior la banda fimaría un contrato con la discográfica DreamWorks Records, re-grabando la totalidad de este disco, e incluyendo dos pistas adicionales, dando origen a lo que sería su primer major label, Mega!! Kung Fu Radio.
Practicando un estilo único y dificil de clasificar, oscialando entre el Rap, el Funk y el Metal, The Blood Splat Rating System es el primer gran paso en la carrera de la banda, el cual sería reafirmado en Mega!! Kung Fu Radio y consolidado en Tonight the Stars Revolt!, su disco más exitoso hasta la fecha. Recomendado.
